This was a great day trip to Sedona with a few members of the Arizona Xterra Club, and one of my first real off-roading adventures in Sedona.
Sedona has several trails that are accessible only to hikers and high clearance vehicles. There were two trails that we ran on this day. Broken Arrow and Soldiers Pass.
Broken Arrow trail is a great 3 mile or so loop with many smaller trails to some of the very scenic Red Rock Country. Most of the trail winds through the scrub brush and trees, but has many technical sections that can be fairly challenging. The trail ends with the famous Devil's Staircase.
Soldiers Pass Trail is a very short 2 mile round trip. There are a couple of small trails that dead-end into very interesting geological formations.
